You can reach the shopping promenade, bicycle rental, several bakeries, ATM and supermarkets in less then 5 minutes by foot.In the 'Hansaviertel' you can admire the harbour promenade with lots of different kinds of pubs, restaurants, caf�s and clubs, where regularly concerts, as well as readings and poetry slams take place.To get to the lovely historic district, the 'Westf�lische Wilhelms-Universit�t' (one of the oldest and most traditional Universities of Germany) or the Aasee (big lake in the city centre) you might go by bike or catch a bus (bus stop just around the corner). Also by foot it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to get there.The Dortmund-Ems-Canal, where you can have barbecues in summer, take a swim or just have a nice walk is not far away either.
