The staff was not keen to help when the light blub in the bathroom was broken. And he failed to give us any travel infomation, not a map nor any advise. He gave us the wrong direction when we wanted to take a boat to venice, that was quite impressive. The room was good. It was like a hotel room. If what you want is a hotel-like hostel, this hostel is just fine.

To start with, the location is truly awful, unless for some godless reason you want to stay on Lido (it's not even close to the boat stop). They had no maps of the area, the front area was often left unattended (with our room key in full view). The room was freezing as the window didn't close, the bathroom smelt of mould and the walls were dirty. Don't stay here! Also, listening to several couples through our paperthin walls wasn't exactly fun.

The hotel is not in venice, but on a island called Lido, which is close to it. You can get from Lido to Venice with one of the boats (Vaporetto) in 10-15min (6

The hotel is nice but the island of LIDO is a bit difficult to access. (takes 1 hour for the ferry to go to the train station)

Lovely hotel in a quiet spot away from the tourists crowds! Once you've got the knack of the ferries and bus, really quite easy to get to and VERY NICE! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lido is a good 30 minute boat ride from the train station, which is also pretty costly. We're thinking we were the only guests, since there were no other keys given out. The ownermanager left around 11pm and did not return by 8am the next morning and the room door did not lock.
