Tiberias was our base for golan heights, manara cliff and haifa, all within 1 and half hour drive.

There was nothing at all wrong with this hostel. Nothing exciting about it either. I didn't like the smell of cigarette smoke walking in, but I did like having air con and a fridge in the room. Perfectly adequate. I wouldn't suggest doing the tour they push though, if all you want to see are capernaum and tabgha as they are easily done alone, despite what they might tell you. The guide is good however.

Meir Bar was an excellent host. We will return again to this great city by the Sea of Galilee. Good budget hostel.

Nice enough place but expensive for what you get. The rooms were good but the common area is very small and limited services provided.

Not perfect, but definitely getting what you pay for -- and maybe even a little bit more considering its prime location: really 5 min walk away from the central bus station, and in the middle of town -- makes for easy access to lots of the interesting tourist stops in Tiveria.
