Stayed in 20+ hostels on our travels so far (7 months) and this has been the worst! Not sure if it was because it was not high season for tourists but still...
Bathroom wasn't clean when we got there and didn't get cleaned once during our stay. Internet and wifi didn't work and no one knew when it would be fixed. The heating in our room didn't work, room was freezing!
Location is great though, right overlooking the beach.

Great place to stay, even if I happened to be there at a very quiet time of year.
Nonetheless, I would like to be back before too long e.g. in MayJune.

would have almost been perfect if the were a chill-out room, the reason for the low score on the security is because there are no locks for the storage spaces, however, the people around there are soo friendly and decent that i could leave my phone and mp3 lying around while i went out and it neva even got touched!

Overall I enjoyed my stay - but in future would take precautions for protection of personal possesions, not that anything was stolen but I felt there was a potential risk.

Great deals online with very friendly and helpful staff. If you're after value for money and you're happy to do the backpacker thang, this is the place. Central, convenient and surfer friendly (this is Newquay after all). Definitely coming back :=)
