A wonderful family runs this place, which is a very short walk from the Petra site. They are so friendly and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was lovely, it had a big balcony and a clean bathroom with hot water. Their internet, DVD's and breakfasts were great. We came here for 4 nights and stayed here for 10. We will stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Petra.

Fair enough place overall, but can't feel too relaxed when constantly one member of staff installed in the common room giving a feeling of being watched over!

Mohammed was very helpful and good to talk with. His brother was more diffident nd not as forthcoming with help. The hostel would benefit from small repairs that have been let go. But it's a good place to stay, and convenient to shops and restaurants.

The shower, 2nd floor did not work.

Pretty good place, especially location with a 10 minute walk to the site. Do not stay in the dorms, espcially in the winter. I slept on a mattress with no sheets or pillow case, just bare blankets. And the room was freezing cold at night. Pay a few dollars more for a private room.

Staff was nice, but didn't really help us get any better deals than what was in the guide book. Did help us make reservations, which was nice. Web site promised free transport to Petra, but that was never provided.

If you choose the dorm, you should know that there is no dorm. It is just some space in the restaurant divided by a curtain. You will be sleeping in a mattress on the floor

Fantastic hostel, friendly staff, great location. Try the grill house around the corner (Mahmood will show you) the mixed grill is to die for.

beds were OK. bathroom was clean but drains were very smelly. carpets were filthy. breakfast was OK. couldn't keep mosquitos out of our room. probably the worst hostel we've stayed in over the past 30 years.
