This hostel was everything we paid for...keep in mind that it only costs $9 a night for two people in a twin room ensuite. I don't mean to say that we didn't like it, but even though the walls may have been a little thin, and there wasn't carpet, or no shower curtains, it was still a great find and a terrific deal. There is a wonderful breakfast with cereal, fresh fruit, and hot drinks included. They are also very helpful at arranging things for you to do.

Hostel was a typical average egyptian hostel. I didnt feel that it was that clean but that's because it is just basic low average egyptian standards. People were friendly. nice place overall and very nice roof top with 5 o'clock tea time and a snack. the rooftop is like an oasis away from the hussle and bussle of the streets

A great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff who were always welcoming and would go out of their way to help you. Great rooftop to relax on, and enjoy tea!
Beware of the Nubian Oasis Hostel down the street who try to trick you into staying there instead - very aggressively!

Really good hostel. Stayed here for the last few nights of our holiday and had already seen most of the sites in Luxor at the beginning of our holiday so it was nice just to relax. Went on a hot air balloon trip over the valley of the kings which the hostel arranged which was awesome and I would definately recommend it. The hostel is in a great location and don't really have any complaints.

Oasis is probably the best place I have stayed in Egypt. The value for money is great and the sunset afternoon tea a real bonus. A great place to visit all the sites of Luxor or just spend a day relaxing on the roof top. PS the best way to the westbank sites is via the local ferry and local (pickup truck taxis) on the other side. This should only cost about 5pounds total one way
