Relatively good central place to stay, though that hill is a killer if you're walking back from the old city...could probably get something cheaper in this category if you looked around.

Excellent location with wonderful and helpful staff. Don't eat dinner here - its very overpriced and you can walk next door for better. Surprisingly comfy rooms and well stocked breakfast. Clean rooms and a short walk to the Old City. Would recommend.

The place was reasonably priced, clean and the staff were quite nice. In terms of things they could control, was one of best places I stayed in Israel. However, Mount of Olives neighborhood feels pretty dangerous when things kick up between IsrPal, and we didn't feel great walking back to hostel at night.

You need strong legs to climb that mount with luggage. Take a taxi or bus no. #75 from the Arab bus station opposite of Damascus Gate. The out-of-the-way-location has its advantages in terms of quietness and morning and evening views though.
Recommendable place with free internet access and a nice breakfast.

A good location for exploring the mount of olives. But a bus ride or a fairly long walk (especially going up) is needed to get to the old city. But the free internet and meals make up for it.

Without question the best hotel for the money in Jerusalem. Responsive staff, free internet, and a great breakfast to start your day. If you don't care about frills, this is your place.
