This is a new hostel so it was difficult to find as it is in a unique location (as the only hostel on the hilltop in Mancora). It would have been good to have been informed of the location prior to getting to Mancora. Otherwise it is a good hostel if a bit pricey for us. Once better infrastructure is put in place (ie: paved roads down to the town) it will be really good and I'm sure business will pick up!

Patricia and Juerg the owners are very attention, the beach is beautiful and the view is FANTASTIC from the Bungalows. Through the window is possible to see the ocean, the beach, the main street...summarizing all Mancora. My stay at Kon Tiki was incredible.

The biggest problem with this place is that is situated on top of a hill overlooking Mancora. All the music from the bars and clubs, the noise of the Panamericana which includes trucks and buses and all other kinds of noise are as audible as if you were in the bar or on the road. Furthermore, the wind carries the noise right into your room. It was almost impossible to get to sleep and then it was disturbed. Other things included windows without a curtain, or a see through one.
