kiwi house was one of my best stays in NZ! i was staying over christmas and loved it. they organized a great x-mas bbq! kiwi house really made me feel home and i met nice people. the two kitchens & all bathrooms have all facilities, even a hair dryer & scales! + it s very clean. + big dvd collection. okay, the location is a bit out of town but ppl like me who like walks will really enjoy it!

Thanks to the supportive, friendly, helpful staff. Secure parking was nice and the walk to downtown pleasant (or take the bus). A great place to stay.

We have stayed in hundreds of hostels on different continents and honestly this, for the price, was one of the most pleaseant. Its a little walk from the city centre but not far ( 15 mins ), the staff are incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The information provided by the hostel is excellent and so useful. And it is so clean. The rooms are good but the beds and duvets are so so snug. Highly recommended.
