We were a bit disappointed that the hotel staff failed to mention or put a notice at reception about the Belgian transport workers strike that was announced on a Friday and disrupted travel on the metro, trams, buses, regional and international train network for a 24 hour period on the following Monday - the day we planned to leave Brussels for Amsterdam on the train. As most travellers would be affected by such an action, I think any responsible hotel should endeavour to inform its guests.
