Vive la Manfred! Friendly and helpful and he organises excellent and cheap hiking trips. I really must recommend this place! La Ororava is a nice old village, although pretty hilly. A good basecamp for adventurers!

The owner of the hostel also organized hiking tours which were great and when he would take us to the places where we would go hiking he would play underground hip-hop in his car. As a result I have now expanded my underground hip-hop music collection dramatically...

Coolest hostel I ever stayed at. The owner Manfred sets the easygoing pace of the hostel and is also a guide on day trips. Took me and four others on a nine-hour drive - hike - nature trail through the Anaga region. Cash was tight on my trip but at 28 Euro for the day, this was outstanding value for money.

well in short it was a good stay over there... Manfred was a kind man. speaks a couple of languages..the room was ok....but could not sleep well caz it was just near a bit noisy... well i wished i had a room a bit far....i enjoyed cooking in the kitchen it was really wowwwwwwww . i will suggest the hostel..... i hope u will enjoy ur stay ur stay..... chaoooo

should have a map with local markets and restaurants and bars with hours that they are open listed somewhere around the hostel because of the remote location...and a note near the door which says 'keep ringing the bell...we'll hear you eventually'...but fabulous regardless! great craic!

Manfred the owner is very friendly and full of excellent tips about hikes, places to visit and restaurants.
Price is excellent for the service and I loved the atmosphere and the decoration there.

The owner is very friendly, the house itself has a rural character and Orotava itself is well worth visiting.
