Roberto is truly the nicest and most warming host i have ever known...our experience was truly one of a kind. i reccommend this place to anyone. seriosly an amazing place to stay.

We highly enjoyed our stay. Roberto is probally the kindest and most helpfull host we have had in our 4 month stent of south america. He offered free use of the laundary machine including detergent, as well as a tv, DVD player, and a quality selection of films.

Hostal Chasqui was wonderful. Roberto is a gracious host and an all around wonderful person. We arrived a night early and he accommodated us with no problems. The prices are incredibly reasonable and his reccommendations for places to eat and things to do were extremely helpful! This hostel has character and charm. I HIGHLY reccommend it!

The owner, Roberto, didn't treat me like a guest, he treated me like a friend. The beds are VERY comfortable, rooms are clean, a great value for what you pay. When I left, Roberto drove me to the bus station and made sure I was safe on a bus before leaving. For the poster who says it is far from everything, you have to understand Octavlo is walkable in 30mins so we're talking a 5 min walk if one says it is

Really good hostel. we came for one night for the market and are staying for 4. Otavalo market on saturdays is great, and the surrounding area is really nice. Nice owners, kitchen, good location, comfy beds, hot water - great.

Really friendly people, very accommodating, helpful and fun. We would have loved to spend more time there but had commitments. We would all definitely stay at this hostal if we return to Otavalo.
