A friendly and relaxing place. An intruiging building in a handy location. The owner and staff were very helpful

Clean, fun, quirky place, with a super friendly owner set in a beautiful location 15k's south of Sligo town for relaxing peace and quiet.....which is also it's only flaw, as it's quite hard to find and also not somewhere to go if you want action. Very cool place to spend a night though!

Rough and ready but certainly a bit different. Like a hippie commune if you like that sort of thing. A good experience though!

We stayed at this hostel on Friday night, and were the only ones there! It was funky and different, would recommend for a large group of people out for a laugh, not much for individuals or young couples. Countryside is beautiful, and woke to lovely frosty grass.

Unusual, quirky building in the middle of nowhere, however very quiet, picturesque views, laid back atmosphere. Imagine not easy to get to without a car and also wouldn't have felt secure leaving our belongings if we had been in one of the tents in the main hall. Clean, comfortable room with roof window out to the stars above my pillow!

We left as soon as possible. Kitchen was a disaster, although someone tried to clean up late afternoon.
No one introduced themselves and we ended up not even knowing where to 'sign in'
We enjoyed location, even though it was somewhat isolated and hard to find.
Might try it again if different operators were there. Bottom line - looked like a set of 'Animal House' andor a 'batchelor pad.'

A really amazing building in an amazing part of the landscape; a slow-paced, hidden-away nook of Ireland. The traveller should be aware that not everything youd expect from a hostel is there (internetphone is hard to come by, there is a 7km walk from the bus stop if theyre not around to pick you up, and there may not be a free breakfast if you arrive on footbike. Despite the unmet expectations, its by far the most interesting hostel Ive ever stayed in.

We arrived to a rather disorganised situation, our booking had been altered from 2 bedrooms to 1 bedroom and a tent. The tent was not prepared, bedding was damp.A very noisy night resulted in a very poor night's sleep. The location and principle of the place are great, hygiene not so great, bathrooms were not clean.

it is the worst hostel that we have been. everything was dirty. The owner had invited some friends at supper and the kitchen was plenty of dirty dishes, pans....also the bathrooms.. there were two cats who ate on the table!!! also one cat got into our room and pissed in one bed!!!! we didn.t agree to pay him but we did. We talked with him and but he didn-.t mind!! So we would like our money back!! Nobody should go to this hostel. And the owner must change his job!!
