The place is ok, very well located. The room is clean and big (double room). The staff is friendly and good English.
The breakfast is VERY expensive in comparison with other places I've been in China (don't eat there). Found cheaper tours around the area, but the hostel, in the end, reach the same price I got on an agency on the street.
But I recommend the hostel.

A good hostel. It is very clean, rrooms were good size and the staff is friendly. The toliets are all squat type, but you will need to get used to that in China. Very difficult to find from the instructions given, unless you get a taxi. Great location to see the sights

Were very pushy for tours... Rained the entire time we were in Guilin yet they tried and tried to get us to do tours. Asked male owner how cheap the buses to ping'an were Answered: its very complicated to get there and no-one is very helpful so you will get lost and it will be very inconvenient, but i have a friend who owns a hostel out ther that can come and pick you up from Guilin... for about $60 Australian dollars. went to bus station, staff very helpful and buses very cheap, also had no pr...More

Jeannie is the only one who speaks English (only tried a bit too hard to sell tour packagesbreakfast). Other staff can only speak Chinese (don't know why working in a hotel). Double room (with glass door...) and bathroom were clean&more comparable to a hotel. If looking for a nice place to stay, this is a good choice (at the main road, not far away from the city centermain station)!

This is def a 2 star hotel and not a hostel! Bit of a problem finding it because the bus routes change when the night market is on. They failed to warn us of this. Nice big beds and en suite bathrooms. The tours they offer are very expensive!

Jeannie was absolutely lovely and taught us some Mandarin. I would recommend Sue's home made traditional chinese cooking!
