Clean, nice but small hostel. Located in the Indian neighbourhood which gives you access to plenty of good food.

While the 10% service charge is clearly mentioned on the listing, it should really be inlcuded in the price, not an extra. We had a very small room, but that could be characteristic of Singapore budget hostels. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

dont know why this place has got so many bad reviews. the shower rooms are modern and clean. the breakfast is better than most places and the location is great for the money. the dorms are a tad small but the sheets are 100% clean and the beds very comfy when compared to other places where you dont even get a proper matress. only complaint is the lack of lockers. otherwise will definately be staying here whenever in singapore.

Overall this is a great hostel, good location, free breakfast, free wifi and TV (with movies). The price is good for Singapore but you do have to note they charge a 10% service charge, but we were aware of this. Even with the service charge it is a great deal compared to some of the other options. I would stay here again!

We booked online and were quoted a price that upon arriving did not get. a staff member tried to explain that Empire Hostel runs a system that changes the prices every 15mins. Our overall experience was terrible. we only stayed one night instead of the planned 3 and we would never ever recommend anybody to stay at this hostel. The price system is absolutely shocking and the hostel itself should be reported to the highter authorities for false adverstising and fraud.

The Hostel does not respond at all and the door was locked! We most find a new hotel in midnight. A very bad experience ...

Very clean and tidy hostel. We enjoyed our stay here and would recomend to anyone looking for budget accomadation in Singapore. Staff were very pleasant.
