The overall impression from El Misti is good! The chef that cooked us so many good meals was a real character and we loved him. The organisation wasn't good! The transfer to the airport that we paid El Misti to organize for us didn't work. The taxidriver wanted money from us when we got to the airport even though we told him that we already did pay to the hostel. Tours that we wanted them to book for us took days for them to arrange.

was an ok place to stay for a few days but anymore then 3 and it starts getting to you. didnt like how you had to pay for everything and also had to fight off family members of the staff to get your moneys worth at dinner time.

Helpful stafff. Good location. A bit noisy at night with the music and drinks downstairs. When I requested a 5 AM wake-up call on my last day to dapart it never came because 2nd shift forgot to pass the message onto 3 rd shift staff. The prices at El Misti are good and so is the location.

What we can tell you about this hostel is that we have only seen the reception with a very unfriendly lady. They said they made a mistake with our booking via hostelworld. They only had 2 beds left, when we booked for 4 persons. So we are not very enthusiastic about this hostel! They helped us with an other hostel, but that was the least they could do.

About the only thing that was good about this hostel was the Breakfast, booked a 6 bed dorm and ended up in a 12 bed, also very hot only 1 fan and very small window. I won

The breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful. However, our room was not good. There were 10 beds squeezed into a room suitable for maybe 4 so there was very little room to move around - it seemed that other rooms were better so try and avoid the back upstarirs room if possible. Also the place had quite an "alternative" vibe - lots of dreadlocks and no TV. If thats your thing you1ll probably like it, otherwise you`d be better off looking elsewhere.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Location was good; near shops, bus stop, metro station. The gate was securely locked, but not sure outside road.
