Location is AWFUL! We never felt safe outside it, though the hotel itself was secure and safe. The lobby is misleadingly nice! The rooms are ok, though we didn't get our towels changed in four days, but sheets were! No AC meant it was hot, but if we opened the windows, we were kept awake by the sirens (all night every night). Staff were very helpful. Also, funny smell off the water! Worth the price, but if you're fussy, pay extra and stay in a nicer location!

good price for good location. the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. We got a double bedroom with shared bathroom instead of one with a private bathroom. but the staff was friendly and very helpful, so that we had to pay far less than the original price. we would stay there again.

We stayed in a private room in the cecil, although had access to the hostel Stay next door. This included free internet and phone. Good value and great option, if staying downtown. Handy to greyhound bus station, about $9 in taxi if arriving late at night.
