When we arrived we were very impressed. It was clean and the rooms were nice. Unfortunately, I can't give a goog review due to the noise from the bar downstairs. If you want to go to bed before 3am there is no chance you will sleep! We couldn't keep the window open either at night because of the noise so you just wake up boiling hot. Lovely hostel, shame it was ruined by the noise downstairs from the bar.

It is unfortunate that i have to put a bad comment for this hostel. The hostel was one of the best i have stayed, until everynight i'd go to bed a was kept awake to at least 3am by the bar downstairs. It seems a very good night, but if you want to get your head down for some good sleep, i wouldn't reccomend it. Apart from that, it was a lovely place! Very clean and comfortable!

Oh my god I always like to stay in any Base but that one was just faboulous I was in the sanctuary on a 4bed ensuite bathroom and everything was just so perfect !

not sure what you can do about it, but it gets very noisy late into the night with street noise, and from the bar downstairs. friday, we had drunks coming back to their rooms banging on doors randomly about 3am.

Would have been five stars all around if we'd been able to get any sleep. Soundproofing, guys! So we don't keep getting woken up by the drunken shouting!

Location is central, very new, great showers ensuite, 4bed dorms are not really big. Only thing i really didn't like was the bar downstairs witch is noisy as hell, you're vibrating in your bed (if you don't join the party) from 15:00 pm till at least 02:00am. If you do want to party, are not planning on doing the Crossing from here (and therefor need some sleep) than it is OK.

Major issue with the noise. The bar does not close until 3am and music can be heard v loudly from all areas of the building which means no one gets any sleep.

Very noisey bars near by made it very hard to sleep!!! had to use ear plugs otherwise good hostel, no wireless in room or hostel had to go next door
