The staff here are very lovely, very helpful girls. While the place didn't have much of a vibe, it was probably because we were the only ones at the hostel at the time. An ok location, about 10mins walk to the centre of town.

we had abit of bad luck with the fuse box triping out all the time. which meant waking up cold with no heat and no lights etc. Could offer more info on the area like giving proper maps and reccomending places etc. staff are pleasant but not so forwarding with this information. the free internet and the free tea and coffee is a nice touch tho.

The hostel ist totally different from what it looks outside. The rooms (especially the bathrooms) were very modern and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. As we came in November, we appreciated the free tea. Nevertheless they should fix the electrics. In the evenings there were some electrical power outages which had obviously to do with the safety fuses. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Clean & newly refurbished. Helpful staff. TV in the room. Free broadband. Great value for money.
Cons: No mirrors anywhere. The curtain in my room let in alot of light & it didn't reach to the bottom of the window so it wasn't very private. Squeeky doors & building work outside kept me awake. Note to hostel: A little oil would work wonders on those doors!
Despite all that it was a great place, and would highly recommend the Aston Hostel to anyone.

We had a great stay at Aston, with the staff being extremely helpful with finding sights, and allowing us to leave bags with them after check out on the final day.
