Good value for the money. The staff was very friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Some minor problems such as the bathtub not having a shower curtain and the bathroom floor not draining properly making the floor wet underfoot, but no major problems. Large room, comfortable beds, excellent location (literally 5 minutes walk to the ticket office of the Egyptian museum), quiet (we were lucky to have a room in the back of the building, so no street noise at all).

(by the way the same building as the invitation hotel). We stayed in two different rooms. Especially the "dorm-like" room with five beds was in a serious bad condition.

We were made to feel very welcome. Cairo was a shock to our systems and the hotel Arabesque felt like a haven.location is fabulous,great view of the city.We went on 2 trips though the hotel and although the trip to the pyramids did entail being taken directly to a camel and horse ride business, which we did not ask for, we would not have wanted to be without that experience which will stay with us forever. The boat trip with dinner is also highly recommended.Do try the felafel too, yummy :)

Very close to the Cairo Museum, but shabby by European standards (even though Lonely Planet rates it as a good mid-range hotel). Staff are the hotels best asset.

Arabesque was a great to place to stay: good location near the Egyptian museum and downtown shops & restaurants, friendly and helpfull staff. I would definitely choose Arabesque again!

We've stayed here a few times. Some of the staff are fabulous, very friendly and helpful. Check your room before you accept it - for cleanliness and also some beds are very uncomfortable. Top sheets and towels are not provided. The location is great and the rooms are spacious. But the service is usually very good and anything you need, just ask.

We stayed here twice and were extremely well taken care of. Maged, Mohamed, Mustaf, and Lola were awesome - no matter what we needed, no request was too much. Arriving at 3 am from a long haul, exhausted, we could count on a friendly face and warm welcome. Loved it here. It's quite close to lots of stuff but taxi drivers had a hard time finding it
