The room itself was extremely clean and spacious, although a ceiling fan was needed as nights got very hot. Maria was very friendly although she spoke no English. Overall accommodation was fine. Some things to note - hot water ran out quickly for showers, there are many stairs to climb, rooms do not have kitchen access or security lockers and privacy is limited as the rooms are in amongst Maria's family rooms!

Maria is very nice and helpful, even though she doesn't speak a word of english. the location is ok if you don't mind stairs, but i guess it's one of the best u can find! the only problem was that we had no privacy at all since we opened up our bedroom door and Maria was just in front in the leaving room having lunch with her family or something like that. but in the end the global review it's good

Maria is very friendly, its like staying with a relative, she knocks on your door to deliver some freshly picked grapes...

it is on a hill behind the castle.you have an excellent view of dubrovnik but you have to climb two hundred steps up.the lady did not speak english but we managed to understand.and she was very very very clean. Nice room to stay in a good location.

Accommodation Maria was exceptionally clean, very secure and had a great view from the old town - which was only a short 10 min walk away. Maria doesnt speak much english so she not the best tour guide, but she is very nice and even gave me food and drink when I arrived.

Lovely views. 300 stairs- but that's everywhere! Rooms don't have kitchen access!

a magical, magical place to stay. one thing to know in advance: unlike most people in Croatia, Maria doesn't speak English. (however, we got along just fine, even though we don't speak Croatian.)
