Sunflower Stop was our first stop in South Africa. A lovely introduction to South African life! Had a lot of fun, great staff with great attitudes. Recommended 100% =)

The hostel is within walking distance to the V&A waterfront and the room was good. However, my camera battery charger was stolen (from a locked double room) and my towel was not returned from the laundry. The staff could or did not want to do anything about it which was disappointing. Also, I was initially offered a lousy room in a wooden shed and only 'upgraded' to a room inside the building when I asked for it. A fantastic hostel, the staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. If I ever come back to Cape Town I will be staying here again.

The Sunflower stop was possibly the best hostel i have ever stayed at and i have stayed at a lot around the world!!

I did not like this hostel. The bathroom smell very bad and the room also did not have a good smell - the pillows and blanket smelt like wet dog. Lot of mosquitos. However in a good location, near V&A Waterfront, Long Street and Sea Point.

Great hostel but in terms of location, will need to take a cab to get to the city centre, but if you want to be walking distance from the harbor front, this is the spot for you.
