Byron House, is situated in the picturesque village of Holymoorside near the ancient market town of Chesterfield. The ground floor accommodation is fully accessible and consists of a twin room, private wet room and private lounge. The view from the lounge is a rural scene over a valley taking in farms and forest and stretching to the 'Crooked Spire 'in Chesterfield.In the lounge, there is a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, microwave, toaster, table, crockeryBreakfast is buffet style and usually consists of , Juice, cereal, toast and conserve, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt etc.We are a relaxed, sociable household who will respect your privacy but if you feel sociable , leave your lounge door open or come into ours - which may not be as tidy as your lounge due to children !-The village has 2 pubs,' The Bulls Head', serves food all day from Wednesday - Sunday at present. 'The Lamb' is a quaint village pub which has different guest real ales.Byron House is the perfect base from which to visit the Peak District attractions, picturesque towns and villages, go walking and climbing.We are only 6 miles from Chatsworth House, the estate of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. There are events at Chatsworth throughout the year - Country Fair, Food festivals, arts exhibitions, seasonal events. The house itself is of great historical interest and has beautiful gardens. The estate also has a brilliant adventure playground,farmyard and miles of walks. Chatsworth was the location for the filming of 'Pride and Predjudice' - look out for 'Mr Darcy'.Other historical attractions in the area are Haddon Hall and Hardwick hall.Gullivers kingdom is a great, theme park for the children situated in the picturesque valley of Matlock Bath. Stunning setting!!The area is full of lovely towns and villages to explore e.g Bakewell, Matlock, Ashford -in-the -water, Castleton, Buxton.
