An old 19th century stone farmhouse that was completely renovated, Casale Giancesare stands on the hills overlooking the valley of Paestum, just two kilometers away from the archeological site of Paestum.Casale Giancesare is situated in the countryside along with many olive trees, mulberry trees and vineyards. These trees and vineyards allows Casale Giancesare to produce homemade extra-virgin olive oil and Aglianico wine. Casale Giancesare offers its guests a panoramic view of the Italian coastline. Forty kilometers of beautiful beaches are visible, beginning at the coast of Cilento and Vallo di Diano and ending at the Amalfi coast. During a sunset, its guests have a breathtaking view of the island of Capri, which is visible on the horizon and is easily accessible from the ports of Agropoli and Salerno.The town of Paestum has several historical attractions to offer, which are very close to Casale Giancesare. Among these historical attractions are the ancient temples of Paestum, which were built in 600 and 500 B.C., the ruins of a castle that is linked with the history of Federico II, the sanctuaries of the �Madonna del Granato� (11th century) and Getsemani, and the beaches where the American landing took place during World War II.
